The Year of Faith

My husband and I went on a retreat
for the weekend,
and one of the things the priest said
during the homily was:
"Stir into flame the gift of God,"
quoting from 2 Timothy 1:6.

For Catholics,
we are in the midst of the
Year of Faith.
Father Alex Balatbat said that
the Year of Faith is not only about
our faith in God, but also about
God's faith in us.
He said that when God sees us
He sees Himself because we are
created in His image.
He sees our potential,
He sees our possibilities,
He sees our gifts and talents.

One of the things we must learn to do
is to REJOICE!
It says in Nehemiah 8:10 that we
MUST rejoice,
and it will be our strength.
No matter how many gifts and talents we have,
there will always be challenges and
we must rejoice in the midst of this!
Talents, opportunities, plus
REJOICING!
Unbeatable combination!!!!

This morning I was reading the
9th Chapter of the Hebrews.
"Christ did not enter into a sanctuary
made by hands,
a copy of the true one,
but heaven itself,
that He might appear before God
on our behalf."
Heb. 9:24

The really unbeatable combination is
we have Jesus Christ as
our high priest interceding on our behalf!!!

Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!

What are the odds that this week,
for the second time in a row,
random.org chose,
#13, the ever popular and witty
Julia Dunnit of

Blessings!

  11. Patsy, I love Nehemiah! It doesn't matter "how many gifts and talents we have, there will always be challenges." And through it all, He is our reason to REJOICE! I so appreciate your encouragement and your beautiful artwork!
