I've been really busy the past few days,
painting, painting, loving it!
Here's what I finished yesterday.
I will be offering some of my paintings
in Art in the Park, an art fair
on the 16th of March.
A first for me!
Let's see what happens!
I think of this as an adventure!
I read from Jeremiah 7 yesterday
and painted this on my journal.
"Listen to my voice;
then I will be your God
and you shall be my people."
I always try to keep still and listen.
Sometimes it is hard going.
I get very impatient and
want to go on to other things I have to do.
Sometimes there is amazing grace
and God's favor surrounds me.
I enjoy His presence
and feel as if I can tarry with Him forever!
"Take with you words and
return to the Lord." Hosea 14:3
Sometimes all I do is talk, talk, talk to God,
not allowing Him to say a word to me!
What are the words that we should say to God?
This passage from Hosea is always
recited on the Sabbath preceding Yom Kippur,
the Day of Atonement,
the holiest day of the year for the Jewish people.
(Hebrew: יוֹם כִּפּוּר, IPA: [ˈjom kiˈpuʁ], or יום הכיפורים)
Don't be impressed, just copied that from Wikipedia!!
The Jews usually observe this holy day
with long fasting and prayer in the synagogue.
It is a day of atonement and repentance.
Perhaps the words we are to say are,
"forgive us our sins as we forgive
those who sin against us."
After that, I am sure His grace will
allow us to enjoy His presence the whole day!
Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!
