This is one work I started without any
theme in mind, no bible verse, no quotation.
The starting point was
Michelle Ward's Crusade this month.
So now, my dilemma is...
...what do I call this piece?

ReplyDeleteVisiting from Studio JRU...no idea what to call this, but you are so talented! I really like this painting.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, when I saw the first picture with the buidings in the background, my immediate thought was, "In my Father's house are many mansions..."
It is beautiful. I love the houses in the background :) They drew my eye...
ReplyDeleteI have no ideas for a name, but I'm sure you will come up with something lovely :)

Gorgeous, Patsy. Give her a Filipino name. I read your profile blurb and see how very busy you are. So glad you are sharing this lovely lady with us.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful portrait. The background reminds me of some sort of fairytale. How about "Fairytale Forest?" I don't know. I just love it!!
ReplyDelete"My home, my castle" what a pretty painting!
ReplyDeleteLovely :)
ReplyDeleteLove your painting ~ well done ~thanks, namaste, Carol (Share the Creative Journey) and HPPF ^_^
ReplyDeletewell she is beautiful and I first thought Bella... but as I look deeper how about "In Him will I trust"... just a thought :)

Wow, this is really gorgeous. The houses in the background anchored everything together wonderfully.
ReplyDeletePatsy ... I LOVE it here! LOVE the Words you share! Great piece! I'm a follower! a name for your piece isn't coming to me yet ... let me know what you decide! Thx for the visit!
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful! I really like the rich background. My thought for a title: "Her Heart Was Never Far from Home." Kind of wordy, I know. But I like wordy titles. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love this. I am wanting to learn how to do this type of artwork but keep gravitating back to my watercolors......
ReplyDeleteTitle idea:
ReplyDeleteShe walks in peace because of what she had learned.
She and the houses are beautiful. My first thought was "Turn Your Heart Toward Home" but I love all of the above ideas.
ReplyDeleteI adore those little houses!
ReplyDeleteThat background is just beautiful... the colours are gorgeous
ReplyDeleteI love the little homes you added in the background. Beautiful piece. Another idea... "always close". I love Sadee's suggestion for the title too!
ReplyDeleteSooooo sweet and lovely! Beautiful work! "Homeward Blessings"?
ReplyDeleteYour color combination in this is wonderful! Thanks for sharing Michelle Ward's Crusade link - I hadn't heard of it before and it sounds interesting :)

ReplyDeleteGreat work and I can't wait to learn what title you will choose for it! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteShe is gorgeous! She looks like a city girl to me. :)
ReplyDeleteShe looks so expectant and there is the house in the background. Maybe she's waiting for someone special to come home. It's lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love all the texture in the background & I always like houses too. :) I am looking forward to seeing what her name will be. It can be tough naming them sometimes!
