Paint Party Friday: "Mercy"

Good morning friends!
Here's the background I started with-

and here's the image I pulled from it for my journal.
"I desire mercy, not sacrifice."
Matthew 12:7

I was watching NBC's Today Show last night
and I was intrigued by Matt Lauer's interview with
She had a near death experience in 1999
and she wrote a book, To Heaven and Back.
She described Jesus as infinite kindness and compassion.
Sometimes I can be rather judgmental.
I forget that I should leave judgment to God!

It can be wearying finding fault in others!
Let's look out for the good, the positive,
the many blessings we have!

I finally finished this commissioned painting!
Hooray for me!
It took me a loooong time
because I was hesitant about drawing a piano
which was what the nice lady wanted
in the painting.

Here's a project I did for a local TV show.
If you want to see some instructions
on how to make it using a yakult bottle,
scraps and a styrofoam ball,
you can visit our papemelroti blog.

As a thank you to all you wonderful visitors
who take the time to leave a comment,
I pick one of you every week
to receive an ATC from me.

This week the RNG picked

She chose the lady with one hand
on top of her head
and the other raised in praise!

Patsy

  7. Hi, Thanks for you comment about my horse drawing. An official Zentangle tile , is a piece of good quality watercolor paper with the Zentangle logo printed on the back with their blog address, and a box to put the date in, and two lines for your title and signature. they call it a tile because it is almost the size of a 4' ceramic tile and it has slightly deckled edges.
