I forgot it was Wednesday
and forgot to take a picture of my desk before I started
work on my journal.
But here is my desk after I finished
painting on my journal.
As usual I have lots and lots of stuff on it
that probably should not be there
and I am waiting for some time to cull it
and organize.
These are my paints that
have grown in number through the years.
I do not like mixing colors and invariably
use colors straight from the bottle!
Well, I usually put it in a little plastic paint pot
and then use it.
This morning, I read from Isaiah.
These are from prophecies about Jesus.
Do you know that there are so many prophecies about Jesus
in the Old Testament?
There are at least 333 prophecies
concerning Christ in the Old Testament.
Two computer scientists in the University of Oregon
ran this problem through the computer.
The odds against one man
fulfilling these 333 prophecies
were 67 to the 10th degree, a figure so astronomical
that it approached infinity.
More fascinating resources on those odds:
That is one of the reasons I believe
Jesus is the Son of God.
But another reason is because
of personal experience.
From when I was a child,
He has answered my prayers.
As I matured He has walked with me!
He has challenged me,
loved me, blessed me,
accompanied me in my trials.
He is real!
Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!

Well now, I completely get not wanting to mix colours, as youcarve out time and the inspiration flood you, the last thing you want to do is stop and 'interpret' a colour. It's not like your art suffers in any way for using supplied colour! Loving the sight of your desk - is that remote protected with clear plastic? Genius!
ReplyDeleteYour paintings are so wonderful! I love the pregnant lady - gorgeous! Happy woyww and happy Easter. Marit #85

Love those statistics that make Christ and His work undeniable! What an AWESOME God! I loved all the paintings this post but especially the pregnant belly! A friend and I were talking about a verse the other day. She said, "I could just see a picture of this verse in my head." And I thought, "I'd love to actually see a picture of this," I could see you painting it!!!
