"But blessed are your eyes
because they see..." Matthew 13:16
What are the precious things?
Are they not those we see with our heart?
"It is only with the heart
that one can see rightly."
( The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry)
Yes indeed, how blessed we are
when we are not deceived by
things that glitter
and make a lot of jingle jangle!
"We hold this treasure in earthen vessels..."
2 Corinthians 4:7
Yes we have a treasure-
what we know of God,
and that which God values.
Because then we have more than enough!
We need not look beyond our fences
for that which will give us joy,
peace that surpasses understanding,
and love that will last until we leave this
earth that can be full of tears.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful truth, Patsy. I really can feel your desire for God to open your eyes so that you really can see the hurts and needs of others who need Him. Like that song says, "Open my eyes, illumine me..Spirit Divine". You are so blessed because not everyone would ask God to truly open their eyes and let them see others and their pain, their need, but you have been given such a servant's heart to care for the needs of those around you. God is using you in a mighty way, and I pray that you art will work as a tool to reach people for Him. I am so blessed to know you and have a look into your life through our connection on line, and I prayed for you today - that God will bless you, draw you closer to Him, and allow your eyes to remain open to all that He has for you to see. Bless you in your journey, and thank you for sharing.

Beautiful pieces - your paintings are lovely- you have inspired me to paint more "little women" - it's actually quite difficult to paint detail in that tiny space. I'm starting to feel more sure about my control of the brush though. HPPF
