Today, I had to "stage" my desk
as I did not want to show the addresses
of the recipients of my weekly ATC giveaways.
I had to replenish my ATC stock over the weekend
as I was running low. Panic!!!
So here are some of the ATCs
and the addressed envelopes.
I was reading about St. Thomas as it is his feast day today.
After drawing him and Jesus,
I chose from my pile of backgrounds,
and used carbon paper to trace the drawing on it.
It can be my feast day too-
doubting Patsy!
I pray that like St. Thomas,
Jesus will meet me where I am
and show me His face and His wounds
so my faith will grow.
St. Thomas' faith was so strong that he preached
about Jesus and His way
all over up to India!
"Throughout his journeying,
St. Thomas took with him
the firm belief that just as He did for him,
Jesus will do whatever is necessary
for each person to come to faith."
from The Word Among Us
We need not be afraid!
Even with all our doubts,
Jesus is on the boat with us,
journeying with us!
Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!
This week,
Random.org chose
#21, Julie Ann Lee!
Joining the lovely Julia Dunnit for a
peek at desks and projects!
I love blog parties!
Won't you join us?
Sometimes I put on my best pajamas
Blessings!

Thomas is one of my favorite Bible characters ever. I think he should be called "believing Thomas" because once he was convinced there was no stopping him!

Thomas is certainly a very 'human' character isnt he. I like your portrayal of him. Its the backgrounds, i'm getting it now, you let the backgrounds be foregrounds as well,a nd I like that you trace the pictures on..the layers become invisible really.
ReplyDeleteWhat interesting paintings! Very cool!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!

Another inspirational post Patsy... adds perspective + wisdom on our daily walk, thank you :)
ReplyDeleteFirst off, Patsy, thanks so much for sharing your art in our challenge. Second, what a blessing to think about all the wonderful people all across the world who are being blessed by the ATC cards you send out with love. And lastly, I'd like to ask you to pray for an unspoken prayer request I have. Thanks so much! God bless your week.

Your work is so beautiful and full of meaning. I am trying not to be terrified about something right now, so your girl asking that question could be asking it of me. (Thanks for your WOYWW 211 visit, which I never got a chance to return until now!) ~ Laura #105

Your artwork is beautiful!! I like the picture of Jesus looking directly into Peter's face. His expression is so caring. Thank you for sharing this last week over at WholeHearted Home. Hope to see you in a bit!!
