Paint Party Friday: Beloved

"Give thanks to the Lord for He is good,
His mercy endures forever."
Psalm 136:1

It is easy to give thanks and praise to God
when everything is all going well.
It is more challenging when
we feel everything is caving in on us.

How can we think God is good if
He allows us to undergo so much pain?
a couple of weeks ago.
Yesterday she said,
"I'm sure God doesn't want me to
have this much pain!"

I personally think all of life
is a journey with God
asking us along the way,
"Do you trust me?"
"Do you believe what I said to you
in the letter I wrote to you,
the Bible?"
"Do you follow my instructions
which are ALL for your good?"

"Rejoice in the Lord always.
I will say it again: Rejoice!
Do not be anxious about anything,
but in EVERY situation,
by prayer and petition,
with THANKSGIVING,
present your requests to God.
And the PEACE of God,
which transcends all understanding,
will GUARD your hearts and your minds
in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:4-7

This is what God says we should do
if we want His peace!
Easy to do? No!!!

It goes against every natural law,
but God's ways are different from ours,
His economies are different,
His thinking is different!
BUT He made us, He loves us
and He gave us our instruction manual.
If we want to live the way He intended us to,
we need to read it and follow it!

Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!

This week,
Random.org chose
#3, La Abela , a woman who talks to herself,
as she claims, and draws amazingly
with charcoal and graphite.

  18. Oh Patsy - I know that God doesn't want us to have any pain - it's just part and parcel of this sinful world we live in. I pray that your mom gets relief from her physical pain. Your images are beautiful - and the word that inspires them is full of beauty and healing.

  22. We are neighbors at still saturday - nice to have a chance to visit. Love your drawings - if you visit my blog, scroll down to see a time lapse drawing our daughter did, I think you'll enjoy it, too. Love the verses you shared - so true - sometimes it is hard to trust on this journey - to know and rejoice that He is with us.

  23. Beautiful post and artwork to go with. The refiner's fire is hot, and I'm personally feeling it in my own life. I don't like the heat, but I know it's necessary, and holding on to God's promises that everything works out for the good of those that love Him!
