The Greatest Promise

In the book of Exodus, chapter 32,
Moses reminded God how He swore to
Abraham, Isaac and Israel,
giving them many promises.
We too can remind God of the many promises
He gave us in the Bible.

But how can we remind Him if we
don't even know what those promises are?

The greatest promise God made is in
John 3:16:
"God (the greatest Being)
so loved (the greatest reason)
the world (the greatest need)
that He gave (the greatest act)
His only begotten Son (the greatest sacrifice)
that WHOEVER (the greatest opportunity)
believes (the greatest response)
in Him (the greatest Savior)
should not perish (the greatest promise)
but (the greatest difference)
have (the greatest certainty)
ETERNAL LIFE (the greatest possession).

I like to "collect" the promises in the Bible,
writing them down in several notebooks.
They are like money in the bank!
What good is a billion dollars
if we don't know we have it?
What good are God's promises
if we don't claim them?

One of the stories in the Bible
is about a Centurion,
a commander of a hundred soldiers
who asked Jesus to come a heal a well loved servant.
He said to Jesus through his friends
that Jesus need not go to his house
as he was not worthy,
but "Only say the Word
but my servant shall be healed."
Luke 7:7

Perhaps like the Centurion
we may feel unworthy
BUT we may confess God's words,
and stand on His promises
to claim them!

Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!

This week,
