WOYWW: #NEVER

On my desk: I finally gave up on erasers to make stamps out of.
When I use them a lot, and I do, they MELT!!!
So I decided to buy Staedler carving blocks.
More expensive, but I suppose it would last longer!!!

So I repeated a design I made before, and which yes, had melted!
Then with all the little bits around, I made little texture stamps
which I could use for my messy backgrounds.

"Even should she forget, I will never forget you." Isaiah 49:15

One thing that is so important to remember,
NOT to take for granted, is that our God lives.
There's a sign on His tomb which says,
" He is not here..."
When God says through the prophet Isaiah
that even if a mother forgets her child,
He will never forget us, we can believe Him,
because He lives forever. His Word is forever.
And when He says NEVER, He means #NEVER!

And what does He mean,
when He compares His love to a mother's love?
A mother's love is sacrificial.
From the moment she knows she has a baby,
a mother gives up certain foods, takes care of herself more.
When her baby is born, she feeds the baby the milk from her body.
God's very nature is sacrificial, to give of Himself.
He gave each of us the very breath of life.
And He gave His own Son so that He could welcome us
as His own sons and daughters, in fullness of life.

Elizabeth Stone said, "Making the decision to have a child-
it is momentous.
It is to decide forever to have your heart walking around outside your body."
How about God? When He decided to make man,
He would have known that man with his frailty,
his own ideas, and his own choices, would disappoint Him,
would even break His heart a million times a million times.
And yet, God decided to make man.
God's love is not rational, is it?
I don't know how many times I said in my mind,
"It's a good thing I am not God, or I would have destroyed
this or that politician or BIR agent"!
Yes, God's love is there for us whether we are good or bad.
God's forgiveness is always knocking at our door.
And His grace and mercy is everlastingly available.

Lord, may I not grieve You with my petty sins and bad choices.
May You be happy that You decided to make me,
and put Your own Spirit within me!

  4. Oh really? Do erasers melt? I've never heard that before... I keep my stamps/erasers in a drawer and they haven't melt so far but I will keep a close eye on them, I might need to switch to other carving material too. Happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #34

  11. Great pages! I like that you share how you find all your inspiration.

I have been ill and I randomly pointed my finger in the bible and it was at
Isaiah 38:5 about getting more years to live. I find it very hopegiving. :D

    Blessings!
