WOYWW: Extraordinary Things!

What's on my Workdesk?
I am ready for my early morning devotions
so here are my readings and my journal.

After I read about how Jesus gave authority to
the twelve disciples to drive away unclean spirits and to heal
every disease in Matthew 10,
I underlined in the Word Among Us,
how "Now as then, Jesus is calling ordinary people
(that's you and me), to do EXTRAORDINARY things!

So I drew ME praying over someone.
Then I traced my drawing over
one of my backgrounds with tracing paper.

I am thinking that this anointing Jesus gave
to the disciples to heal the sick
is not something in the past.
It is something we can do today, we SHOULD do!

In the same way that some people say they can't draw
and don't even try,
but if they do PRACTICE and PERSEVERE,
they will be able to do it to their amazement,
I believe that we can become conduits of
Jesus' healing power if we PRACTICE and PERSEVERE!

So join me in my journey to become
an anointed healer!
I have been watching the videos of
Charles and Francis Hunter and
their daughter Joan Hunter on You Tube.
Charles and Francis Hunter were
well known evangelists who healed many
through the power of Jesus.
They say if they can heal, anyone can heal!

I know so MAAAANY people
in need of healing not only
physically but emotionally as well.
If there is something I can do,
I want to do it!

The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few...
Matthew 9:38

Jesus said in John 14:12 that we will do
what He does and even greater things than He did!

I am believing these words He said,
will you?

Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!

This week,
Random.org chose
31, Neet  of  Hickydorums!
She is one of the WOYWW regulars
and has a new and interesting blog,
Flat Susan, an amusing travelogue
of who else but Flat Susan!

  5. I wish I COULD draw. I've really tried, and have messed up so many times. I feel MY skill is not drawing, but collage. It's all about what we are most comfortable with, I think. I'd far rather create something mixed media than try to draw even a simple circle. But you have a real skill in that area. And I of course, appreciate it. Happy WOYWW from #2.

  11. Amen, Patsy. We can indeed pray for folk to be healed - we pray, God heals! Living with the tensions of not always seeing that healing immediately take place isn't so easy - but God is still God - He doesn't change. Fabulous. Trust you see Father God working through you this week.

  12. Beautiful work as always Patsy and certainly a lot to think about in your blogging. I’ve not read the Bible since I was in school and only attend church now and again (never felt the need to be in church to believe) but just this week I purchased an audio version and thought I would start to listen to it again each evening before going to sleep.

    Happy Crafting!

  16. Another stunning post, Patsy. That picture of Jesus laying his hands on that person is wonderful. How many times do we FEEL His hands on us when our hearts need healing? I don't know if you prayed for me the other day when I asked for it, but I want to say thanks (guessing that you did), and God gets ALL the glory and praise because He hears our prayers, and He answered my cry in such a beautiful way and spoke to me and healed my heavy heart. He is SO wonderful, and I am SO blessed to have friends like you who share in that awesome love that only comes from knowing Him and living for Him....WE ARE SO BLESSED!
Thanks for sharing once again, Patsy, and please know that I just prayed for you. Have a blessed week!

  19. Patsy,

Your posts and your artwork are always so inspiring to me and to so many. How beautifully you are evangelizing thru your words and art. It makes me sad sometimes that the laborers are few but gives me hope that Jesus uses us ordinary people in extraordinary ways if we trust in His will. Your interpretation of the Gospel readings inspire me to keep drawing my parables and scripture paintings. I love The Word Among Us, too:) God Bless You!
