WOYWW 69: What does she do?

Here's my desk
taken while standing on my chair.
I haven't had any time to clean
because I was in a conference
from Friday to Sunday.
We listened to talks and had workshops
about being "A Woman Called to Serve".
Here's a closer look of my "Woman".
I thought she might be a vegetable vendor,
but she doesn't seem to want to be selling vegetables!
What do you think she'd like to be?

WOYWW 68: Works in Progress and a Sneak Peek of a Wonderful Sketchbook!

Here is my table today.
And below is my floor
with the canvases I painted wall putty on
and behind them, my Dt 6 canvas
which is still unfinished.

I am thinking of how best to apply the words!

I wasn't able to work on anything yesterday
because my brother arrived
from a 3 month
backpacking tour of Europe.

He came home with sketchbooks full
of wonderful art.

A Pocketful of Miracles

It is my sister Tina's birthday today.
When I finished my collage,
"A Pocketful of Miracles",
I realized I had to give it to her-
my sister is as small as I am, pint-sized,
but she is full of energy, enthusiasm,
love and generosity.
Put that all together,
and you have the ingredients for miracles.
She tutors street children,
finds ways to teach their parents
good parenting skills,
went to Tawi-Tawi (a remote island)
to bring medicine to the poor Muslims.
She sings beautifully,
is multi-talented and smart,
and uses her gifts to bless others.

A blessed birthday to my dear sister!

WOYWW: Rejoice in Everyday Miracles!

First off, let me ask forgiveness for
not visiting a single one of you last week.
Couldn't even return the visits I got
because my internet
was soooo slow!
Last night, I was feeling bad because
my connection was zilch,
I couldn't even get my email.
This morning, I prayed it would improve
so I could upload my pictures for WOYWW
and make my post,
and here I am!
I can say that God
is a partner in my idiosyncracies!

The picture above is the collage
I started a couple of weeks ago.
It says,
"Rejoice in the Lord always!"
My husband said he liked it,
but he thinks the frame
should have been plain!
This is my desk this morning.
I'm starting on a new collage entitled,
"Pocketful of Miracles".
I think flowers are
one of God's most wonderful miracles!
They really brighten my day!

I'm always on the look out for
materials to recycle and this is
a plastic pack of some camera battery or something like that.
And here's what I prayed about this morning.

Sorry, the picture is soooo blurred!
It says,
"My times are in Your hands"
!
And so it is!
Even my internet connection
is in God's hands!
And so today I rejoice
that I can join all you wonderful ladies on
our WOYWW tour
!

WOYWW: What a MESS! and the Green Paper Challenge

Here's my desk this morning!
I've got coconut buttons which I put
wall putty on and now I'm painting them.
I also pasted some with dictionary paper and
put wall putty on it too.

And here's my entry to the Green Paper challenge.
The hat is made out of the ceiling
of the dance hall!
Didn't have much time so I just
cut it up and pasted it on one of my
wall puttied paper!
And here's my journal:
This is really about stepping out in faith!
We all got to do it sometime!

If you'd like to take a sneak peak
at what other people have on their work desk,

I guarantee you'll want to
join in on the fun!

WOYWW: Starting a Collage and some Recycled Christmas Decor

Here's my desk today.
I'm starting a new collage.
I'm experimenting with
using the
BACK
of a canvas frame.
I covered the frame
with collage papers.

A couple of days ago,
a segment producer from a local TV show,
Unang Hirit,
called to ask me to
make Christmas decor
out of
recycled materials.

Here's what I came up with:
a Nativity Set
out of a toilet paper roll,
a yakult bottle, a CD, scrap cloth and a used chopstick.
Tree decor
made of
water bottles
I cut into shapes,
and swirls
and glued glitter on.

Here's a poinsettia
I made from the top of the bottle,
which I cut into petals,
and glued glitter on.

And here's my journal for today.
The verse reads,
"We are God's co-workers,
you are God's field..."
from 1 Corinthians 3:9.

I related this to our work in
the local prison.
We "water" the inmates with
the life-giving Word of God,
but God gives the
growth.
