WOYWW: Happy New Adventures!

Here's to the New Year and new adventures!
I've really enjoyed journeying with you
and have received so much encouragement
this past year!
The first Wednesday of 2012
does not show any improvement on my desk.
It's still a huge mess from all the Christmas activity
and my journal is still on top of a pile
of wrapping paper!

My journal this morning features a verse from
John 1:39: "Come, and you will see."
God invites us every day to have a relationship
with Him, and it is an exciting adventure
to accept His invitation!

Psalm 98:1 reads " Sing a new song to the Lord."
We should always sing to God, fully and joyfully.

I loved what I read in my meditation guide,
" Sing aloud, yes, but don’t limit yourself
to what your voice can do.
Sing with your pen.
Write down what you want to praise the Lord for.
Jot down your hopes, dreams, desires for this year.
Sing with your paint brush—
paint your praise, joy, and thanksgiving.
Sing with your musical instrument or your feet.
Dance, as David did before the ark of the Lord
(2 Samuel 6:5,16).
We are wonderfully made,
so we can praise the Lord in song
or with any of the other talents he has given us."

Oh yes, I plan to sing with my paint brush,
and pencils, and all the ways that I can!

  4. I am so using your words 'sing with your pen' as my inspiration for this year! Love the thought of it. I loved singing , but unfortunately my chest has become so bad that just breathing is sometimes a problem. It really bothered me untill I read your words.
Isn't it amazing how God can answer prayers even through WOYWW? I now know that there is more than one way to sing!
    Happy New Year and WOYWW

  27. Pasty I love what you said about signing with our pens and paint brushes. I don't have a singing voice, but I can certainly sign to Him (and about Him) with the words I put on paper.

Many blessings and Happy New Year to you.
