God is Faithful!

Sharing the video project of Jabby Teotico.
Jabby is a testament to God's faithfulness
as he is a liver transplant survivor.
JABBY has always made it his
personal mission to proclaim God's goodness
and I was soooo happy to help him with my drawings!

To see the uncropped video, go here.

Here is my desk as I prepare my journal.

The draft before I started painting with acrylics.

"Eloquent preaching is better than dull exposition,
but what truly sustains us
and deepens our faith is COMMUNITY!" (Word Among Us)
Thank you Lord for my brothers and sisters
in Ligaya Ng Panginoon (Joy of the Lord) community!
I am so happy to be on a journey with them!

"God is faithful and will not
let you be tried beyond your strength;
but with the trial He will also
provide a way out,
so that you may be able to bear it." 1 Cor. 10:13
In our community, there are many
undergoing challenges and
when they are steadfast in their faith,
persevering and faithful,
they are shining examples and
an inspiration to us!

Each week I choose one from those who comment
to pick an ATC for me to send them
as a thank you!
I so appreciate your taking the time
to comment!
I know how time consuming it can be!!!

WOYWW: Stand Firm

Waking up early has its benefits.
For one, everything is quiet.
No one is up yet!
Here is my desk after reading scripture and the
meditation for the day.

On the right, I have a canvas I'm starting.
After splattering on some wall putty,
I put paint on with my fingers to start the background.

After reading the story of how John the Baptist lost his head,
and not wanting to draw Salome,
nor the head of John the Baptist for the umpteenth time,
I decided to just cut out words from the meditation:
"Whether we know it or not,
people learn from us every day.
If we choose, we can pass on to others
the character of Christ." (Word Among Us)

Herodias, the wife of Herod,
passed on to Salome, her poor daughter,
her evil ways!
What do we pass on to our children?

"Stand firm and hold fast!" 2 Th 2:15

All around us, there are bad influences.
But we can be SALT and LIGHT.
We NEED to be salt and light for our families!

One Body in Heaven and Earth!

"We ought to thank God always for you,
as is fitting, because your faith flourishes ever more,
and the love of every one of you
for one another grows ever greater."
2 Thes. 1:3

Yes, I thank God for my brothers and sisters
in my community!
We are one body, and like different parts of the body,
we grow together, we work together,
we use our different gifts for the good of the body.

Can you imagine if one hand refused to do its part?
It wants to do the work of the mouth but it can't!!
Or if the lungs stayed so small only a baby
could survive on the air it inhaled?

"The Book of Revelation describes
a divine liturgy taking place
in heaven (Rev. 4-5)
It is a thrilling, beautiful description
of jubilant singing and deep worship.
But there is no separation
between that divine liturgy
and our own earthly liturgy." (Word Among Us)

How exciting to think about the Church
as united both in heaven and earth,
worshiping and praising God!

We are also one body with the
angels and saints in Heaven!

Come to the Feast!

After doing my daily scripture readings,
I usually I look through all the backgrounds I've made
to see if there is a figure or figures emerging from them.
This morning I saw this one
and did not bother with the others
because I already saw the two men.

Here is Philip and Nathaniel
(also known as St. Bartholomew).
Philip was so eager to introduce St. Bart
to Jesus!

Philip eagerly invited St. Bart to, "Come and see!"
Are we as eager and enthusiastic as Philip
to introduce Jesus to others?

Then Jesus could invite them to the Feast as well!!
We would all see each other in a HUGE party
and celebrate surrounded by the love of God!
I'm looking forward to that, are you?

Thank you to all who visited and
commented last week.
Every week I choose one of you
to receive a little gift, an ATC from me
in appreciation of your kindness!

And this week, #46 is
a fellow filipina!
She can choose from one of the ATCs below.
