WOYWW: Hidden Work

We are on holiday today.
We are celebrating Philippine Independence Day,
commemorating the Declaration
of Independence from Spain on June 12, 1898.
To celebrate, I made some healthy snack made of
bananas, apple sauce, oats, raisins and almond milk.
After I tasted the finished recipe,
I told my husband, it needs icecream!

From my kitchen table,
I went to my craft table,
where I have more successes with what I concoct!

Here is a little corner which shows
it's not only my desk which has tottering things!

Has God called you to some "unnoticed" hidden work?
We are not all going to do some "great" work,
like Mother Teresa, or Martin Luther Ling,
or Saint Francis of Assisi.
But I like to think my little paintings
"bless" others in some way!

I believe everyone has so many gifts!
And a special purpose too!

"Repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar
and to God what belongs to God."
Mark 12:17
Here Jesus points out that the coin of Caesar
has his face on it.
That's why the people should
pay their taxes to Caesar.
But WE are made in the image and likeness of God!
So we belong to Him.

We are each one, very important to God.
Like God, we are CREATORS.
Only we have the ability to create
and use our imagination.
None of the animals have this.
Only we have the potential to be TRANSFORMED,
to be RENEWED.
We have a destiny beyond our wildest dreams!
If only we partner with our Father,
the one who put those dreams in our heart!
And so, that "hidden" work?
Perhaps it's not meant to be hidden!

Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!

This week,
random.org chose #7,
Christine who enjoys sketching
and a good laugh!

Blessings!
Patsy

  10. Hello Patsy. Hope you enjoyed your snack - even without the ice cream... Yes, often our work is hidden except to God - He sees and knows - and understands all.
    Have a great week.

  11. Patsy: As I stopped by your blog this morning, the LORD laid something on my heart, and He asked me to pray for you and for your team as you minister to people through the prison ministry you have there in the Philippines, so I just prayed again for you all. I really hope that these people will be saved by the wonderful grace of Jesus Christ. I also pray that God will bless you all and work in your lives as you share God's goodness with these inmates. Praise God that when we trust in Him, we become "new creatures" and that old things are passed away. That verse (2 Corinthians 5:17) must be SUCH a great one to use in the prison to give people the hope of a new life in Christ, our Savior. God bless you for what you do. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art in our challenges.
    Hugs from Las Vegas,
    Karen

  13. Dear Patsy
Your paintings brings so much joy to my heart! I just love the innocence and childlikeness your art portrays. I think most of our "important work", we don't even know off.
    Much love XX

  17. Yup, sometimes, I think my work or my purpose must be hidden. Sometimes I feel so lost in my career or lack thereof...but there must be some purpose or work I can do through my love and my relationships. Thanks for that message.

  18. I believe that your little paintings do indeed add a blessing to the life of their recipients. I love the ingredients in your healthy snack, further, I LOVE that ice cream might actually become a healthy snack too!

  20. Hi Patsy,

Your dish sounds great!!! Ice cream on anything does add a little something though, doesn't it.

As always, I enjoy reading your posts and seeing your art.

I'm so sorry it's taken me this long to stop by. Time management wasn't on my side over the weekend.

    Happy WOYWW
