Who Needs a Miracle?

Do you need a miracle today?
I do!

I opened Streams in the Desert by Mrs. Charles Cowan,
and this is what I read from the August 4 entry:
"And Jesus lifted his eyes,
and said, "Father, I thank Thee that Thou
has heard me." (John 11:41)
This is a very strange and unusual order.
Lazarus is still in the grave,
and the thanksgiving precedes
the miracle of resurrection."

Who thinks of praising God
before the answer is given?
Who thinks of sounding the horn
before the victory is won?

"Praise is really the most vital
preparatory ministry
to the working of miracles.
Miracles are wrought by spiritual power.
Spiritual power is always proportioned
to our faith."
(Streams in the Desert)

My mother is in need of healing.
She is having a difficult time right now.
I would appreciate it if you
thank and praise God with me
for the miracle I am expecting!

Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!

This week,
Random.org chose
#3, La Abela , a woman who talks to herself,
as she claims, and draws amazingly
with charcoal and graphite.

  1. I need a miracle! For my daughter's heart, Patsy. I am believing for your mother, will you believe with me for my Girl? She is 12 and far from God (I know it seems hard to believe at such a young age!). These are hard days...maybe I should pull out My Streams in the desert- I have a copy but have not read it yet. In His Grace, with thanksgiving and trusting for the miracles. Dawn

  3. Our pastor has been talking about the importance of praise, that which comes often through sacrifice, offering up Thanksgiving despite our circumstances, simply for who He is, because He is worthy. Beautiful post my friend!

  14. I started my quiet time with complaining, stopped, went back and did it all over again, starting with thanksgiving. Such a difference it makes in my outlook for the day.
