Wondrous Deeds

"When we are baptized,
we receive a share in the life of God.
The Holy Spirit comes to live in us."
from the Word Among Us.

I should never say that I am not capable.
God enables.
The Holy Spirit gives us courage,
patience, the words to say when we need it!
The Holy Spirit puts love and forgiveness in our heart
when it seems even impossible to do.
All we need to do is let Him live in us.
All we need to do is open our heart,
not harden it!

During Lent, I am trying to
take the "wondrous deeds" of God personally.
I wrote in my prayer journal yesterday,
that I was grateful that He died on the cross for me,
that He sent the Holy Spirit,
that He left me teachings so I would get to know
Him and His ways.
The Holy Spirit will illumine the Words in the Bible
and make it come alive for me!

Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!

WOYWW: Footprints of Faith

It's been quite a busy week!
And if I were to take a picture of my craft room,
you'd think a whirlwind passed by!
I was very happy about the art fair last Saturday!
Thank you for all your encouragement and well wishes!

It's back to my usual schedule today
and my reading this morning is from John, chapter 8.

"Everyone who commits sin,
is a slave of sin."
John 8:34
We should strive to be FREE.
Take a simple thing like gossiping.
Do we delight in talking about other people
in a way that makes us feel superior?
I have to admit I am not free of this.
Sometimes I say,
"Let's pray for so and so
because you know what happened?..."

I only realize afterwards that
I let my tongue run away
and I was not in control of this very
powerful "sword of destruction".

There are a lot of other ways we
are not bringers of peace and unity.
Let's examine our lives this Lent
and see how we can become free
of these "termites" that are so
destructive and work quietly in the dark!

Wouldn't it be great if we could be
like the Saint Joseph,
who left "footprints of faith"
for us to follow?

Every week I choose one wonderful visitor

I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!

God's Goodness is Pursuing Me!

"God does not overlook anyone,
including you and me!
He doesn't worry about where you come from.
rather he looks at your heart.
He looks at your desires and
dreams.
He doesn't look back but looks ahead.
He wants to give you a
future
full of
hope."

This was what I read before I went off
to the Art Fair last Saturday.
Art in the Park is an annual
art fair sponsored by the Museum Foundation.
It was my first time to join
and I was so excited ....
and scared too!

But God is soooo good!
Even before the fair started officially,
this nice lady on the right,
reserved one of my larger paintings!!!!

There were so many wonderful paintings!

and even mosaics!

And here I was, a novice!

I felt very blessed the whole time!
So many came and said they thought my work
was beautiful!
I sold 16 paintings and prints in all.
Amazing!

"Only goodness and love and kindness
and faithfulness and peace and generosity...and...
all around wonderful surprises
pursue
me! "
Psalm 23:6

"Think of it:
God's goodness and love
are running after you!
They are chasing you,
hunting you down.

So look for Him as you
go through your day.
Reflect on the events of your day,
and try to find those times
when God's goodness and love
are chasing after you."
