It's been a busy week,
but in spite of all the wrapping,
working on WIPs,
and general tidying up,
here I am, ready with my workdesk,
this early!
I do not know how Julia has managed to
get me and and so many others
so committed to showing our desks
every Wednesday!
On my desk is a card I finished
for my pastoral leader in my community.
Her name is Joy and she really lives
up to her name.
I am truly blessed to have her
taking care of me!
And here is my canvas and a drawing of
a dancing lady.
I have not placed her yet as I am still
figuring out the other elements in this piece.
The theme is "Delight in the Lord
and He will give you the desires of
your heart."
I am thinking of someone
playing a violin, but I do not know
if my drawing skills are up to it!
And here is my journal for today.
I view God as like our mother and father.
He loves us and wants the best for us.
It is very difficult to envision God
as faithful and compassionate
if we do not have parents who
always love us no matter what!
God allows bad things to
happen to us sometimes,
but it is ALWAYS for our good:
to teach us, to enable us,
to help us become compassionate,
to bring growth, to make us turn to Him...
It is interesting to read Isaiah 45,
because we can never really
understand the depth and breadth of God
if we do not read and meditate about Him.
Joining the lovely Julia for a
Be blessed!

You dancing lady looks lovely against that background. However that works out it will be a gorgeous piece.
ReplyDeleteI am sure Joy will love that card - it's beautiful. Have a good Christmas. x Jo
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely work.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! You are very talented. :)
ReplyDeleteI wished my desk looked like yours:) Simply Beautiful! The more I have been challenged, the more time I have spent with the Father, building relationship, learning from Him. There are times I wish I could learn without challenges:)
ReplyDeleteI love looking at your desk each week! You wrote of thinking of God as both Father and a mother. I recently finished a Beth Moore story on the Psalms of Ascent and there is a scripture that speaks of His love being like that of a mother. (I can't recall the reference right now.)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing with us each week!
Blessings,
Joan
I intended to say a Beth Moore study, not story. :)
ReplyDeleteTurn to me and be safe-
ReplyDeleteGreat thought for the day, thank you!
Glad I stopped by!
You are so lovely and inspiring. I feel so blessed when I see your art and read your blog. It is a breath of fresh air and it makes me feel very grateful. Your art is very lovely. I love the picture of the girl and I'm excited to see you put it all together.
ReplyDeleteMy desk is so cluttered right now, I have no room to work on anything, probably why I'm not getting anything done. :)
Have a blessed and wonderful week!
Merry Christmas!
Love your art work :)
