What's on my Workdesk?
A whole lot of.... well, this is just a bit of my desk.
And this is a bit of my room!
Just a little bit to give you a hint of the state of my room.
These are some of the gifts I have yet to wrap.
They are all piled up and I have hardly any space to walk!
The gifts I have finished wrapping are under the tree
and it's a jumble too!
I have done a bit of creative work,
but I am not happy with these flowers
and will not use them for the canvas I am working on.
I am sure to find some use for them eventually.
And here is my journal for today.
Mary the mother of Jesus made haste
to visit her cousin Elizabeth.
Why did Mary travel so far, alone
and in haste to see Elizabeth?
I think Mary knew she would get the
support and encouragement she needed
during a very challenging time in her life.
Elizabeth gave her confirmation
that she was not crazy, that the
impossible was possible,
that what she was doing
was the right thing to do.
We all need encouragers in our life,
mentors, cheerleaders.
Like Mary, we should go
and find them, even if
it is difficult to do!
I am so blessed that my encouragers
and cheerleaders are not far away!
I have my family and brothers and sisters
in my community and I can depend on them!
Joining the lovely Julia for a
A blessed Christmas!
Patsy

ReplyDeleteMy work area looks like that too. Many projects and gifts piled up and waiting to be wrapped or finished. Sometimes I wish sleep wasn't necessary, so I'd have more time to finish things. :)

Yip, we all have piles of piles of stuff...I would feel right at home in that lot. I am sure you know just what is in it too, so don't even contemplate tidying up, cos you won't find a thing! (this is experience talking...)

ReplyDeleteOh I love the flowers, so cheerful! Oh my you have a lot of wrapping to do..it takes so long! I agree with your theory over Mary going to Elizabeth, she needed to hear from someone e,see that it was going tone OK, my word, she didn't have much support!
ReplyDeleteJust watching Nigel Slater Christmas cooking as I catch up with my WOYWW hop. Glass of wine on my table. Parcels wrapped and tree trimmed. Happy Christmas. x Jo

Hi Patsy, I tried to leave a comment yesterday but blogger or the internet were playing up. Your flowers are lovely - very colourful and I do hope you find a use for them soon. Merry Christmas. Elizabeth x #46
ReplyDeleteI just found you Patsy! I LOVE your artwork. Beautiful! It seems to flow so beautifully with your faith-filled words. So glad I found you! Blessed Christmas! Deb
ReplyDeleteWow on the state of your desk and room. I've been there before myself. I like your bright and cheery flowers but understand how they might not work for the project you have in mind. Keep them around and at some point they will be perfect for something!
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are so bright and cheerful, and I am sure you will soon find a good place for those. You might like to pop back to my blog and read about yet another scam which seems to be doing the rounds (we have just been called from them), just when we are up to our eyes in last minute preparations. Have a lovely Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYour journals are just lovely and you can tell it comes straight from your heart! Such beautiful flowers too but if you don't feel that they'll work on your canvas I'm sure you can use them somewhere else - they are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI hope your Holiday Season is everything you hope for and you enjoy the time spent with family and friends. All the Best for the New Year and see you in 2012!
