"In the world, you will have trouble,
but take courage,
I have conquered the world." John 16:33
I have an intercessory notebook
where I list all those who have
asked for prayers,
and even those who have not.
There is Jopet, a son of a couple in
our Christian community.
He has been in jail now for about 4 years.
There is Tita Betty, who has an advanced stage of
colon cancer. I met her when we started
our prison ministry.
There are couples who need reconciliation
and forgiveness.
I pray for wisdom for what to do
with land and property
that is being confiscated by the government.
I pray for a friend from the Blogosphere-
her friend's daughter had an operation yesterday.
I an go on and on.
Oh, lots of challenges and trials
assail us from all sides.
But Jesus said,
"Take Courage."
Bring it along with you!
Do not leave it behind!
Take Hope!
Take Perseverance!
Take all that you need...
after all Jesus is with us
on the journey,
and He said that He will provide!
I love blog parties!
Won't you join us?
Blessings!
Patsy
Hi Patsy! I used to keep a journal or as you call it, an intercessory notebook too when I was a kid. I can't recall what happened with that special notebook. However, I remember reading its contents before I graduated from High School. There was mixed emotions reading it. I laughed at some silly intentions I wrote :), sad because of some unfulfilled wishes. But at the end of day, I realized that those formed my unadulterated childhood years. It also made me realize how God works in the most mysterious ways. With your post, I'm considering of reviving that special notebook again.
ReplyDeletehave a great week!

ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to make a prayer notebook, to keep those that I am praying for in front of me. How did you do it? I would love to know.
ReplyDeleteSorry you had probs linking up... you have linked the badge correctly and the only other problem could be that perhaps you were trying to use your blog URL address and not the post URL address.
