My desk doesn't look much different
from week to week,
but I assure you there are
SOME changes and additions!
Like these ATC backgrounds I've been making.
They're hidden there somewhere,
actually almost hidden by the rag used to
dab and wipe away paint.
On my journal this morning,
a verse from John 15:2:
"He takes away every branch
that does not bear fruit."
Pruning is painful,
so difficult to do,
even if you're the vinegrower
who tends the plants,
or an artist
who throws or gives away
materials that don't work,
or that you don't use.
If we don't take time
to purge or prune,
we are left with
dead weight (loss of efficiency),
and spend so much time
looking for things buried
in piles.
Jesus is like a gardener,
and we are His garden.
He takes care of us,
prunes us when needed,
so that we will be fruitful
and BLOOM!
Would you like to help me get my art
into the big screens in
Times Square, New York City?

It's a reminder that in God's perfect time, everyone will surely have his chance to bloom. Thank you for sharing.
This is wonderful. I am in the midst of transition and have just gone through the experience of purging all of my belongings. It is a great cleansing feeling of lightness!

ReplyDeletePatsy, thanks so much for today's verse. I am struggling with a lot right now, and reading your blog sure does help with the thought process. dani132
ReplyDeletePruning is so necessary and also painful. I think it is human nature to try to nurture and correct that which does not blossom. I love visiting your blog and the bits of insight I get here. I love all the crazy colors of what is happening on your desk too.
ReplyDeleteLovely, bright and cheery desk. :) Good luck taking over Times Square - that is so cool!

Fabulous art work as alwayS! I've been shut down twice new, not sure why! first time I didn't know what to do! ended up getting a code to use and it all came back, this time I think it was because I was in another part of the country on a different lap top, using a wireless connection, so 'they' didn't know who I was getting into my email and blog. So big sign came up, change your password now!! Once I did that, I h=added a mobile phone number to the tag that appeared and they sent me a code! email and blog reappeared...!! (yay!! Off to vote now! Thanks for my snoop! HapPy LatE WoYwW!
