WOYWW: Fruits of the Spirit

This morning when I woke up,
I could not access the internet.
When I left to attend daily mass,
I left a note for my husband:
"Please see what is wrong with the internet!
I can't access any of the connections,
even Peggy's!"
Peggy is my sister and she lives next door.
My husband right away knew what a disaster that was-
it being Wednesday,
and time for what else but...

So here is my desk,
part of it anyway.

This is what's on my floor.
I spent almost the whole of Saturday painting!
Yipee!

Galatians 5:22 reads
"...the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, patience, kindness,
generosity, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control."

Imagine you are in a fruit orchard
walking with Jesus.
There are parts where pruning is needed.
Weeds, brown leaves, dead branches.
But there are also a lot of fruit.
Jesus points out to us
how there is more fruit now than before.

He is the gardener and He prunes
and takes care of our orchard.
Except of course where we put a barrier
and He is not allowed in!!!

Jesus works to bring us
to more fruitfulness,
so that we will BLOOM!

Galatians 5:6 reads "...only faith working
through LOVE."
The Syriac version reads,
"Which is perfected by LOVE."

We say we have faith,
but is it shown by our love for others?
Is our faith attended by the fruits of the Spirit?

Every week I choose one wonderful
visitor who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.

I know how much time and effort
it takes to leave a comment!
and I appreciate that soooo much!

  18. Gorgeous, Patsy. What a beautiful truth, He is the gardener pruning away at us, and that's why I have to willing to click back the garbage from my life when He asks me to let go of it, like we talked about on our blog last week. Thanks so much for sharing! You are always such a blessing. I hope the giveaway looks ok to you on our blog - let me know if I should change anything.
Have a blessed week, my friend!

  20. Oh Patsy

you know how I love to come here on a Wednesday and see all that you have made - you have a true gift and use it well. I wish I had a fraction of your talent!

How right it is that your husband knew of the importance of Wednesdays - that's kinda cute and kinda funny all at the same time because my husband used to know just that very thing and has even had to take the pictures of my desk for me before now!

    God bless our men!

    big hugs Patsy,

  22. Hi Patsy,

Sorry for not being around lately. But I made today a day to comment on blogs (well not the whole day, I also have to search for jobs).
It's so great to see your art. Love the paintings on the floor too.

And you have such a great and unique way of painting. Love it. Love how you write down your mind too. Thanks so much for sharing.

Big hug from the Netherlands :D
