If you thought that you'd see a cleaner desk for the new year,
you are wrong!!!!
I only have a little spot to paint on,
as the rest of the desk is full of lots of stuff
that should not be there!
Usually we make resolutions for the new year.
I do believe that is a good thing to do!
This year I want to be a vessel of God's presence.
I want to be God's voice for others,
to encourage instead of discourage,
to spread peace instead of discord,
to be kind instead of judgmental.
Unfortunately the last part is
what is hardest for me!!!
But I have a good example!
This is my husband's motto:
"Expressing love increases love."
He used to be part of
Servants of the Lord,
a group of laymen who serve the church.
Everyday, my husband Luigi,
shows his love for me in so many ways.
He is amazing!
He observes or takes note of what I need,
and he does it for me, or buys it,
or makes a way for me to have it.
In 1 John 4:17 it reads:
"As He is, so are we in the world."
God is love.
We are love.
It's there.
It's possible.
We just have to express it every day!
Expressing love increases love.
Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
This week, random.org chose
#9, Sadee Schilling of
Read about her beautifully messy and
joyfully imperfect life in
Hamburg, Germany.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it so much!

I love your New Years resolutions. And as usual your journal pages are just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWe don't normally have weddings like that here in South Africa either, but my new son in law is quite a character. They wanted something simple and fun. Let me tell you, it was the most fun I have had at a wedding in a long time.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your blog and your thoughts. Thanks for sharing. It is also nice to see someone else with dirty paint water on their desk. It is a norm for me.
I am a friend of Sandee. I hope you get a chance to check out my blog.

No one needs a tidy desk, just push things aside and get a space big enough to work in! I tidy mine when I can't do that any longer.
ReplyDeleteI received one of your ATC's before Christmas and must tell everyone how beautiful they are. We can see your work here and guess it is good, but in the flesh it is even better...and it is a very kind thing of you to do every week.
Your desk looks like mine! And I thought I was the only one. Patsy, your work is always a blessing, no matter where it was produced, and it honors God, which is what counts most.
