I woke up late today
and this is how my desk looked.
Remnants of the cover I made
for my 2013 journal.
I had fun making this,
looking for scraps of lace and
embroidered Indian cloth.

I removed some buttons
and bits and pieces from nice old clothes.

I think I will post a tutorial
on papemelroti.blogspot.com later this week.
And here is my journal drawing yesterday.
In Hebrews 2:5-12 we can read that
Jesus was not ashamed to call us brothers and sisters.
I can't help but think of my brother
Robert, who is the best brother ever!
A couple of weeks ago I asked him to teach me
how to "shade" flesh,
and he took the time to show me.
Jesus did not just give us teachings,
He SHOWED us!
He showed us how to love,
to sacrifice,
to be forbearing,
to pray, etc.
Jesus is wonderful to have
as a brother and a friend!
Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
This week, random.org chose
#42, Queenie Jeannie of
She makes fabulous cards
but claims she has no talent!
Does not make any sense to me!!
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it so much!
Joining the lovely Julia for a
peek at desks and projects!
I love blog parties!
Won't you join us?
Sometimes I put on my best pajamas
and party here:

I think a tutorial is a lovely idea - and a lot more work, take your time! I wonder what time you did get up then, because I think your idea of late is probably still before my usual waking hour! Love the 'he is my brother' page, and the way you honour your life brother.

That is a beautiful journal. I do art but am afraid my journals are the spiral bound blue ones - cheap. I guess I should spend more time doing art because I love it. Priorities... organization. And your art desk gave me hope..
ReplyDeleteI will pop over to papemelroti.blogspot.com later.
Blessings,
Linking in from Playdates.

I'm from Slovenia. You know, that tiny chicken shaped European country. It's next to Italy, under Austria (maybe this will ring a bell ;)).
Have a wonderful day!
