I have been busy painting
for an art fair I am joining next week.
It's funny because I know I'm joining,
like months before,
but I just start painting
frantically a couple of weeks ago!!!
Here is what I painted last night.
Have not decided if it is finished or not.
I already like her!
"Ask and it will be given you;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you...
.Which one of you will hand his son a stone
when he asked for a loaf of bread?"
Mt. 7:7-9
Sometimes when we ask God for bread,
what He gives looks remarkably like a stone!
It is only when we look at it through the eyes of faith,
that it turns out to be the very best bread there is!
Just like when my mom was sick,
we asked and asked for healing!
We sought doctors, the best treatments,
miracle workers, we kept knocking on many doors-
and God gave us a stone.
But was it really a stone?
It was only when I decided to trust Him,
that He did not have to make sense to me,
that He made perfect sense of it all.
He wanted to take mommy home
but He also wanted us to know mommy
was going on an adventure and she would be free!
It was not an ending but a
whole new wonderfully exciting beginning!
Yes indeed, the door opened!
"With you is forgiveness...
and plenteous redemption."
Psalm 130:4,7
Asking forgiveness is hard.
As a Catholic, I am supposed to confess
to a priest at least once a year.
But every time I go,
I say the same litany of sins!
It is such an awesome thing that
God's second name is forgiveness!
And with Him is plenteous, bountiful,
redemption!
That means that for as many times
as we go to God,
through a priest, or just direct to God Himself,
He is ready and willing to forgive us
and we can be as white as snow!
He knows what we are made of -
Psalm 103:14 says
that he knows our frame,
and He knows we are dust!
1 John 1:9
"If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just
and will forgive us our sins
and purify us from all unrighteousness."

As always, BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteA very creative corner...happy to be been here....
ReplyDeleteHi Patsy...Wonderful ATC's in this showcase, like you always do. Love the sharing about the pain you've gone through while seeking wellness for your mother's condition. I've been in your situation and lost both my parents in a span of a month from each other. It was sudden and none of us expected they were going to leave us as fast as they did. But God has given me peace and was able to heal emotionally with the help of the Holy Spirit. Wonderful sharing...Thanks for joining us at Word Art Wednesday at our last week's Challenge. Hope you join us again this week. Leaving you with some inspiration from Psalm 120:1 which says, "I call on the LORD in my distress, and He answers me." Hugs and blessings...
