WOYWW again?
The What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday party
comes around every week and we get a peek
at desks around the world.
Here's mine!
As usual, I am going to illustrate a bible verse
so I can remember it today.
"This is the WILL of the FATHER
that everyone who sees the SON and
BELIEVES in HIM
may have ETERNAL LIFE."
John 6:40
I don't know about you,
but a life with no end does not appeal to me at all
if it's full of the same same!
Not that my life is horrible,
it's quite nice really.
But I would like an end to aches and pains,
and people you love dying,
and having to deal with the government
and trying to study the stock market...
Ha ha ha!
And so I'd like to have the ETERNAL LIFE
Jesus offers us, IF we believe in HIM.
Fullness of life. Joy. Peace. Love
beyond man's comprehension.
Yes, that's for me!!!
"I am the Bread of Life..." John 6:35.
Although I do not fully understand
the mystery of the Eucharist,
Jesus offering us His Body and Blood
to eat and drink, what I know is this:
like the Israelites, we are pilgrims
on a journey to the Promised Land.
And like the Israelites, God provides us
food for the journey.
"Give us this day our daily bread,"
we pray in the prayer Jesus taught.
The words in Greek, translates to
"supersubstantial bread".
We are not asking for mere food that
will sustain our physical bodies,
but food for our spirits, which is the
part of us that will get to where
God is preparing a place for us!
For a Super Substantial Life!!!

I find a lot of inspiration

Knowing what I do about your process and how early in the day you rise, I have to say that the seection of pre-made backgrounds you keep would have me wasting time in the choosing process. Are you disciplined about it and just take the one on the top f the pile, I wonder?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art Patsy.
I know how you feel. Not that I want to leave this world just yet, I want to see my kids married and grandkids and I have so many things I want to accomplish, but sometimes I long for my heavenly home. Won't it be wonderful to get to meet there someday! Thank you for sharing at What We Accomplished Wednesdays. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Deborah
What a great idea to use your artwork to illustrate your memory verse.
