Paint Party Friday: Praise the Lord!

Welcome to Paint Party Friday!
This is what I painted this morning-

"He considered me trustworthy
in appointing me to the ministry."
St. Paul wrote this to Timothy
in 1 Timothy 1:12.

I think Jesus has given ALL of us
this responsibility to tell the world
what He has done for us.
We've all got different personalities
and talents and resources,
and we are equipped in different ways.
We all have a unique story to tell.

Today, I am going to give a talk
about "Social Entrepreneurship"
in Assumption College.
I am going to talk about how our business,
papemelroti, is a gift from God,
and how we partner with God
to provide livelihood for
the poor, the sick, the disadvantaged.

When we use our gifts, develop it,
share it with others,
I think that is one way of praising God.

Let us praise the Lord
by using the gifts He gave us!
He entrusted us with these gifts,
and He wants us to use it
to not only be a blessing to ourselves
but for it to bless others as well!

Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!

WOYWW: Gifts

Today's post is all about gifts.
I finally received my One World, One Heart
prize from Sunshine Shelle.
I'll have to find a nice spot for
my new painting.
Right now, it is above my planter
full of drawing stuff so I can appreciate it
every time I use my desk.
Isn't it wonderful?
Even if it's raining outside,
I'll have the beach scene to cheer me up!
And here's one of the canvases I've been working on.
It's still not finished.
Julia asked how I know when my work is finished.
I guess it's when I like it already!
Because if not, then I have to work on it
some more, or cover it up with wall putty
to start over!

This morning I was working on my journal.
As usual I do not have enough space (sigh!)
and my journal was on top of my canvas.
I read in John 16:12 that Jesus
told His disciples that
He had much more to tell them.
He was talking about giving them a gift,
the Holy Spirit.
By giving us the Holy Spirit to guide us
to all truth, He was enabling us
to be qualified to have a share
in our inheritance in the Kingdom of light.
(Col. 1:10-12)

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday
is celebrating it's 2 year anniversary!
Amazing! And we're going to have a
"Pass it forward" gift exchange.
What a lot of fun that's going to be!
Join Julia and the gang
for a lot of peeking at work desks and
projects!

And the Word Became Flesh

And the Word became flesh and
dwelt among us.
John 1:1-8

How amazing is this gift that
the Almighty has deigned to give us!
He gave us Himself,
He became a little baby,
a human being,
so that we might become
His true heirs!

Because He dwelt among us,
we have a chance to be like Him,
to spread His light,
to be His face, hands and feet.

"Thank you for your Christmas gifts, Lord-
Your Presence,
Your Word,

Your guidance,
Your faithful love."

I want to thank you, my wonderful visitors and friends,
for your comments,
friendship
and encouragement!

May the joys and blessings of Christmas
be yours all throughout the year!
