What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday? Judas!!

Judas Iscariot has been on my workdesk
the past two days.
In my journal actually!

Here he is betraying Jesus.
Although he was one of the privileged few,
accompanying Jesus as He gave teachings,
healed the sick, raised the dead,
multiplied bread and fish,
Judas turned his back on Jesus
and chose money!
Thirty pieces of silver!

It may be unimaginable,
but I've "walked" with Jesus
ever since I was a child,
and I know He answers prayer,
guides me, saves me in the nick of time
from some disaster,
and yet, sometimes,
I still choose to turn my back on him!
The good news is
Jesus is always after us to come back to him.
Judas chose not to return,
even if he took the bread Jesus offered him
for the last time.

We can choose differently.

Oh, I don't know if you've noticed,
but I decided to organize my desk a little,
inspired by all those wonderful tidy desks
I see on Julia's Stamping ground link party, WOYWW.
I decided to get my embossed metal planter
and use it instead on my workdesk as
a place to put my scissors, brushes, pens, etc.

  1. Your art is so special. It has an innocence that reminds me that He delights in the fruit of our purely forgiven hearts. I feel full that these paintings and love scrawling of yours are your creative expression of the forming and molding He's making of your life, and they move me to trace over those same marks He's made on mine. You have a way of making me feel connected to all his daughters, and that is a unique and blessed talent He has gifted you with.

Thank you for linking up to abundant life today. I know that your sharing this post and your art will be a great blessing to the women who come to rest here.

Now I'm going to go see how I can get a piece of your work into my own home. ;)

    Abundant Blessings this Easter week.
    Your Sister in Him,
    Lora

  5. Such beautiful, meaningful art. A good reminder, too, to not be discouraged when we have sinned or turned our back on Jesus. He's there waiting for us to turn back and He welcomes us with open, forgiving arms.

His arms on the cross stretched out in love~

    Have a Blessed Easter,
    Janis

  14. Lord, Thank You for the gift of art You've given to Patsy and the inspiration she writes to steer us clear of Judas and his choice not to return! So thankful that Patsy was able to return as I have to You after we choose to turn our backs.

Thank You Lord Jesus that You always pursue us to return to You and Your ways. Even thanks to You we are encouraged to get organized and tidy! This is a good week to cleanse our hearts, repent and move forward.

Bless Patsy as she continues to express herself so beautifully in a journal of remembrance in Your Word and through her artwork. You are good and ever so faithful!
May Patsy be blessed with abundance this Resurrection celebration and the JOY that You express through her art and her uniquely.

Thanks for your visit to The Power of Your Love
