Today is the Solemnity of the
Immaculate Conception of the
Blessed Virgin Mary.
She who responded to the most
fantastic prophecy ever given to a woman,
“Do not be afraid, Mary,
for you have found favour with God.
And behold,
you will conceive in your womb
and bear a son,
and you shall
call His name Jesus.
He will be great,
and will be called the Son of the Most
High;
and the Lord God will give to Him
the throne of His father David,
and He will reign over
the house of Jacob for ever;
and of His Kingdom
there will be no end.”
with a YES!
"Let it be done to me
according to Your Word." Luke 1:38
Obedience. Submission.
I've always believed that obedience
is the key to blessing.
"As Mary did, so can we do.
In each yes or no we choose,
we can bring forth grace
into our lives and the lives of those around us,
or we can allow sin to damage us."
from The Word Among Us
When we obey, when we say,
"Thy will be done, let it be done according to your will,"
God can show us favor.
He is waiting to show us favor! Isaiah 30:18
Truly there are choices we must make.
Just like Mary and the saints
and every person we know!
"Every tree that does not bear good fruit
will be cut down and thrown into the fire."
Matthew 3:10
Jesus is the original good tree.
We have to be grafted on to Him
so that we will bear good fruit.
We can't do it on our own!
Do we want to bear good fruit?
Then let us be obedient like Mary,
and say yes to what God wants of us!
Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!
This week,
Random.org chose
#7, Jen Price.
I like joining her IN THE STUDIO
party each week.
And I enjoy seeing what
she's up to!
Sometimes I put on my best pajamas
and join these great parties!
Blessings,
Patsy

Beautiful artwork Patsy and words so rue. The Isaiah quote is slightly different in my bible - I like the term favour, I think it expresses God's hearts well.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Patsy! Mary's song is such a beautiful and humbling scripture. Lovely artwork, as usual, friend.
