WOYWW: The Word Became Flesh!

On Christmas morning,
my desk has some of the gifts I received last night.
"A Jane Austen Devotional" from my sister Peggy,
a journal from my brother Robert.
He painted my name and a bird on the side!
And washi tape (it reads "Washing tape!)
from my sister Tina.

Some of the gifts I've wrapped are in huge bags
under our tree.

I chose to put my gifts in plain kraft bags,
cut snowflakes from used paper,
an attached a gift tag on it
with staples.
It took a lot of time cutting the snowflakes
and my fingers were complaining afterwards!

 "The Word became flesh
and made His dwelling among us."
John 1:14
Can our minds wrap around this truth?
The One who made the earth, the universe,
who put the stars and the planets in their place,
became a man and walked with us
for 33 years!

He was born of a peasant woman,
but He was a King!
Heaven came to that little town, Bethlehem,
and the angels were His army.
The powerful rulers of His time
tried to destroy Him.
But they were the ones who were destroyed,
because the Kingdom that He came to build on earth,
His Church,  is still alive and flourishing here on earth!

The controversial story of Christmas!

"Blessed be the God of Israel!"
Luke 1:68
Hallelujah!
Let our hearts rejoice in the presence of our King!
In spite of all the darkness that surrounds us,
sickness, calamity, financial needs, selfishness,
we rejoice that Jesus came to save us
from all the spiritual forces arrayed against us!
Be exalted King Jesus in the praises of your people!
Be exalted King Jesus in the praises of your people!
Happy Birthday!

A blessed Christmas from our family to yours!

  9. It IS a controversial story...but for me, it starts and ends with love, and that'll do me!! Your bother's idea to draw on the side of the journal is lovely, what great gifts.

  11. Wishing you a peaceful Christmas. Your tree with its wrapped gifts are so pretty. I haven't cut out snowflakes since I was a child. I'll bet it was fun even if your hands did complain afterward. Have a lovely day! Judy #22
