In the Old Testament,
God spoke a lot through prophets.
Here is Balaam in Numbers,
chapter 24, verses 15-17
"The utterance of one who hears what God says...
A star shall advance from Jacob,
and a staff shall arise from Israel."
I wrote this in one of the pages of my bible
years ago:
"Two of the computer scientists at the University of Oregon
had run the problem through the computer.
The odds against one man fulfilling
the 333 prophecies were 67 to the 10th power,
a figure so astronomical that it
approaches infinity.
What an answer for the intellectual inquiring
about the validity of Jesus!"
And here's a video about the probability factor
of only 8 prophecies being fulfilled by Jesus:
1 in 10 to the 17th power!!!
"Strengthen the hands that are feeble,
make firm the knees that are weak,
Say to those whose hearts are frightened,
Be strong,
fear not!
Here is your God!"
Isaiah 35
We too can be "prophets" for others
when we give them the Word of God,
encourage them, support them,
confirm them, love them!
The same way that Jesus came to bring us
New Life,
we too can bring spring waters
to a thirsty soul,
to bring words of hope
to a parched heart!
Is not that the best gift we can give one another this
season of love?
Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!
This week,
