PPF: Eternity in Your Heart

I've been really busy the first few days of the month.
I decided to make a piggy bank for the first
tutorial of our shop blog, papemelroti.
Here she is, almost finished.
I actually forgot that pigs have ears!
And had to add it on after the body
was painted!!!

I also joined the Documented Life Project
along with other wonderfully creative ladies.
We are working on our planners/ diary/ whatever!
The first week's challenge was to draw our door.
Join us! It's free and FUN!

Today I read from the Book of John about
how John saw Jesus and said,
"I saw the Spirit come down
like a dove from the sky
and remain upon Him."
John 1:32

If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit to
accomplish His work here on earth,
how much more would we need the Spirit?
Come Holy Spirit, remain with us
so we may help bring Your Kingdom
to earth!

"Let what you heard from the beginning remain in you...
Then you will remain
in the Son and in the Father." 1 John 2:24
We never know what a day may bring,
but one thing is for sure-
No man is exempt from the challenges and trials of life.
How do we steer our little boat through stormy seas?
By reading, studying, and acting
upon our "instruction manual".
By building a strong foundation.

I confess that sometimes my house may shake a little,
because right now, my family is undergoing
severe testing with my mom sick.
But I find no one can take away
the peace that God promises,
the certainty that whatever happens,
it is always for good
because we have a good God
who desires the best for us.
Thank you for your prayers for my mother!
It is soooo appreciated!

This was my drawing for December 31,
the last day of 2013.
But it is also relevant for the first week of 2014-
"...place yourself in the presence of the timeless,
eternal, ever-present Word of God.
Let Him show you who you are,
where you came from,
and even more important,
where He wants to take you.
Believe that God who is before all time-
the author of time itself-
has redeemed your past.
He has your future in His hands.

"And He is walking with you every step of the way.
So surrender yourself to Him.
Trust Him and let Him
breathe eternity into your heart."

  1. I'm away from home and had to call my mom over to look at the wonderful scripture illustrations today. I especially like the point that if Jesus needed the Spirit to do his work how much more do we!
