Here's a little peek into a corner of my craft room.
Hanging on my lamp is a simple craft to hang on a window
and bring some brightness into the room.
It is made out of magazine pages, string,
and some glue- so easy to make!!
For more crafts, you can visit our papemelroti blog.
On my desk, I am trying to make my own washi tape
out of paper tape (like micropore, but cheaper!).
I just attached cut up pieces on to acetate
and started painting it with acrylic paint.
"Wherever the river flows,
every sort of living creature
that can multiply shall live." Ez.47:9.
Water is essential to our survival,
to our physical bodies,
just as the Living Water of God
is essential to our spiritual life.
Many people in the world walk up to 3 hours each day
to get water for their families to drink.
And this isn't even clean water.
At least a billion people live this way!
Children can't go to school,
women can't even earn money
because they have to do this back breaking task.
How blessed we are that water
comes out of the faucet for us!
Clean water.
And much more important,
it is just as easy for us to fill our spiritual bodies
with life-giving Words!
How often do we open the Book
and hungrily strengthen our spirits
with what we need every day?
"Father, I want your living waters
to flow in me today.
Nourish, cleanse and bring me your joy!
Psalm 68:9 "You give abundant showers, O God!"
If we go to the source
of goodness,
of joy,
of wholeness,
we can have ALL that is essential
to live the life that we want
for ourselves and our family!

I like the idea of that homemade washi tape! You're using pretty colours, I bet it'll look great on all your projects :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd you are right...we are SO lucky to have clean water all the time. I count my blessings every day.

Patsy,
ReplyDeleteOne of the biggest blessings I feel that we provide when we have God's Word on our art is WASHING. Washing us and whoever reads or receives it. I used scraps to punch out circles and made a lovely window hanging not unlike yours. I hope our Mothers have met in Heaven. The washi tape is a good idea. Thank you for joining us this week at Word Art Wednesday. Blessings, Carole
PS this is always a refreshing stop for me.
What a lovely post, Patsy, with so much variety! As usual, I love your art work, interpreting the verses of Scripture, and how right you are, that we are so blessed to have fresh water on tap. We should never take this for granted! I love your beautiful washi tape.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment on my blog - my ARTHaven is looking fairly tidy at the moment because my cousin came today and I always want it to look its best when she comes - she's very creative! I love my special room and am so grateful that I have such a beautiful creative space to work in. It was built to my own specification now that I know how I want things to be, and it's a pleasure to work in.
Happy WOYWW,

ReplyDeleteAs always, your artwork are superbly done with great blending of colors and theme. Love how you make your own washi tape. I have a few but have never used them (yet!)...LOL I think they'll be a time and perfect project for them. We are so blessed that you joined us at our Word Art Wednesday Challenge this week. Hope you join us again shortly in our new Challenge. Leaving you with God's Word in Psalm 29:11, "The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace."
