"Master, show us the Father," Philip asked of Jesus
in the 14th Chapter of John.
It must have been hard for the disciples and the people
to understand Jesus sometimes.
His words probably troubled them.
His words frequently provoked a decision.
To believe or not to believe.
"Is he crazy?" they must have thought sometimes!
To obey, to follow, or not to follow.
Today, we are being provoked the same way!
We can't just accept Jesus and say
He's a great leader, a good teacher,
an anointed prophet.
BECAUSE He claimed to BE God!
"Whoever has seen me has seen the Father."
"I am in the Father and the Father is in me."
Many of His statement were blasphemous to the Jews
and they wanted to stone Him many times!
But Jesus was only teaching the disciples and the people
because He wanted them all to share His joy.
We can only have real joy IN HIM!!!!
I think we can only be extraordinary in Him too!
