Here's my desk for this Wednesday!
I just came from a trip to Singapore
and you can see my paints in a Tostitos bottle
where I packed them.
My husband shook his head at me,
"Why are you using a glass bottle!???"
We are off tomorrow to stay in Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar,
where we are going to see old Filipino houses.
I am going to pack these paints
in my glass bottle again tonight.
"May my tongue sing of Your promise...." Psalm 119:172
In another version, it reads,
"My tongue shall sing of thy Word..."
What is there to sing about?
Why lots!!!
"God puts Himself within our reach with His promises!"
"Tarry at the promise till God meets you there.
He always returns by way of His promises."
"When faith goes to market,
it always takes a basket!"
(Streams in the Desert, December 29)
I always try to stand on God's promises.
That's why I draw it, to embed
His word in my heart!
"Study the generations long past
and understand,
has anyone HOPED in the LORD
and been disappointed?
Sirach 2:1-11
Not reading God's Word is like
not digging for treasure when you have
a treasure map telling you exactly where it is!
I am claiming my inheritance,
just like all those people of generations long past
who were not disappointed!
How about you?
Preparing ATCs for sending out!
Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!
This week,
Random.org chose
Joining the lovely Julia Dunnit for a
peek at desks and projects!
I love blog parties!
Won't you join us?
Sometimes I put on my best pajamas
and party here:
Blessings!
Patsy

Great post. Love the photos of your ATC and journal pages. My husband thinks some of the stuff I do is strange too! I packed some plastic embellishment bags in a glass jar to travel with....when I asked him what he would have done he said left them at home. Haha a joker! Have a great week. Vickie #26

ReplyDeletePatsy, another gorgeous representation of God's word. Your illustrative paintings are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a good time with your family in singapore. Great fun isn't it to spend time with family? I love it when all 11 of us are together! How true that we need to know Father's promises and hang in there with them - especially when circumstances try to tell us differently!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

ReplyDeleteYou are prolific! Beautiful ATC's! I've just begun making them and they are so much fun. Your quotes from scripture and Streams in the Desert are wonderful. I'll have to delve into my copy of Streams. I haven't read much of it yet, but it is very inspiring! My mom gave it to me many years ago. God bless you and your household!
