Here's what's on my desk
this "gloomy" Wednesday.
A storm is coming with the local name
of "Falcon", and the sky outside is dark.
As usual my desk hasn't been tidied,
and I am just piling my journal
on whatever is on my desk!

This is my drawing of Abraham
asking God of what use are all His gifts
if he has no son?
I am consoled that even our heroes, great men,
patriarchs, did their share of complaining
and lamenting to God!
I need not pretend with God!
If I am frustrated, hopeless,
whatever I feel and experience,
I can come to Him with it,
knowing He will not give up on me,
the same way He stuck to Abraham!

And these are my finished collages
which I did at the beach this weekend.
Couldn't go out of the house
because of rain and more rain
courtesy of Typhoon "Egay"
who left the Philippines already.
I showed this canvas last week,
the one where I used scraps of paper.
I covered the paper and canvas with wall putty
and painted over it.

going strong!!

ReplyDeleteThe weather is rubbish at the moment, here too. It was the longest day yesterday yet it was so gloomy that it was dark two hours early. I do hope your storm passes without too any problems.

Your work is lovely! I especially love the last one with the flower, which reminds me of April Showers, bring May flowers with all your rain :D. TFS! #71
ReplyDeleteI loved what you said about not needing to pretend with God. He already knows what we are feeling! I also love the story of Abraham. I love the collage/paintings you posted, beautiful! I hope the storms passed you by.
ReplyDeleteThose storms sound pretty severe, hope they pass soon. Busy desk and lovely projects as usual, think I prefer the first one, with the three flowers.
