This is what I drew for my journal this morning.
A verse from 1 Peter 4:
"Let your love for one another be INTENSE,
because LOVE covers a multitude of sins."
I like this verse because we make many mistakes,
disappoint even ourselves sometimes,
but love can make up for those mistakes!
In 1 Corinthians 13, it says that
LOVE is greater than faith and hope.
I guess this is because even if we have
the kind of faith that moves mountains,
if we don't have love for others,
what would be the use of that?
We would just be using it for ourselves!
Here are some of the projects I've started.
Here is a face on bookpaper
covered with wall putty.
And here is an ATC I've made
as a sample for our Crafternoon this
afternoon!
The vase is from a plastic ampule of
Flixotide, which I cut in half.
This is why my craft room
is full of garbage!
I usually find a way to use it!
Do you have a post on how you've
salvaged an item from the garbage can
and used it for your art?

ReplyDeleteLove that verse. Beautiful picture!
ReplyDeleteI'm stilled by the beauty you create with castoffs. And isn't that just what He can do?
ReplyDeleteOh I must adore your creations, I am so glad I stopped by.
ReplyDeleteIntense love keeps us going when life has been filled with intense strife and stress. It's always good when the right intensity wins!
ReplyDeleteI love the one with the child -- covering a multitude of sins. So often I harp on things that just aren't that important - they need to be covered with love and not words.
ReplyDeleteHi Patsy! I totally agree. Above anything else, love is more than enough to conquer everything. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis kind of love is a privilege to have in life. My husband is such a forgiving man and my daughters also. It's because they want to be as much like our Heavenly Father as they can. It's my desire, too. It makes for a peaceful home! Once again your art has caused me to be thankful and rejoice.
ReplyDeleteAs always, I enjoy your art, thoughts and Scripture verses. This time I read your About page too. It was fun to get to know you better. I love that you and your sister are so close and your family has a business together. Very cool. Thanks for linking up to B&BB. I pray you have a blessed, artful week!

ReplyDeleteYour art is really beautiful! I'm glad to have found your blog through Random Journal Day Linkup! If I had a craft room I'd use a lot of "garbage" as art. For now, I collect tiny things with plans to use them eventually - like buttons and strings.
ReplyDeleteI really love your artwork, Patsy. So joyful and unique! Thank you for the reminder that love DOES cover a multitude of sins, and we must offer that to each other! Blessings!
