Here is the background I started with.
I searched for St. Paul
in the mess of colors
and found him on the upper right.
Here he is!
St. Paul wrote to Timothy,
"I have kept the faith!"
Can we say that?
That we have kept the faith
in spite of the many challenges
we face each day?
"Be like the wise man
who built his house on the rock."
Matthew 7: 24
This is how to keep the faith-
to build our life on solid ground,
not on the shifting sands of
earthly things!
I have a confession to make-
I have been feeling guilty
at not being able to return everyone's visits.
Your encouraging and enthusiastic comments
have meant so much to me!
So I decided as a thank you,
to give either an ATC or a little painting
every week to someone
who has been kind enough to
leave me a comment.
I usually make 3 posts a week,
so I'll add that up and
put it in a random generator.
Of course I'll still make the effort
of visiting and commenting
for I so enjoy that too!

ReplyDeleteyummy colors! I hope you can go around and visit blogs, it's so nice :o)
ReplyDeleteThese are all beautiful pieces and I really love the house ♥ It is hard to visit everyone. Funnily enough as I was drifting off to sleep last night I was thinking of that and decided I'll just randomly choose a few each week, otherwise, all I would be doing would be visiting blogs ♥
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! I love the blends of textures and colors!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the house too! I am not sure if the verse is bolder in real life but I didn't notice it until further inspection. Happy PPF, linking up with studio JRU
ReplyDeleteI love the colorful backgrounds--do you know what you're going to paint on it before you do the background, or do you find it in the background itself? Just wondering...
ReplyDeletelove your work!
ReplyDeleteThat background was beautiful and unique, and there was St. Paul, too! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteAll are lovely. I especially like that house upon the rock painting. Brilliant. Happy PPF
ReplyDeleteThat's what I pray, that I will have kept the faith and that God will recognize that when I enter heaven.
ReplyDeleteI so understand that feeling, Patsy! I feel balancing my writing, visiting and other creative endeavors (housework and family love time, too!)
ReplyDeleteis getting so hard. Meanwhile I try to ask God to help me prioritize proper: Ephesians 2:8-10. And at the end of the day, I lay my head on the pillow thankful and rest. You do that, K! You are a blessing. As usual I love all my eyes soak in here!
Once again I'm amazed at your talent and creativity. So glad you are using it for God's glory.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Charlotte

ReplyDeleteI love your house on a rock painting, it is so full of joy. Also, your idea of art cards is so sweet! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteHow you start with a "mess of colors" (on a calendar page, no less) and then find what you seek in it. Inspiring! Thank you, Patsy.
ReplyDeleteHi Patsy - so glad to "meet" you! Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. I LOVE YOUR WORK!! So full of color, texture and most of all, spirit. Look forward to visiting often.
ReplyDeleteI like these too...they're neat to scroll through and I love the colours and shapes you used...
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures. I'm a "colorful" lady. And, when I have a basic neutral color --- on me, on a wall, on furniture --- I toss in a bright one to grab the overall attention. It's fun. Not an artist... fingers can't do it ... but what I see in my head can be transferred to my mouth and I can find someone to help me. OR pick up a colorful pillow, earrings, vase, etc. It's fun.
ReplyDeleteLove your artwork and how you intertwine it with God's Word....beautiful!
ReplyDeletei love the way you look and see
ReplyDeleteand create beauty
in the layers.
(you get that from your Father, you know:))

Beautiful work. Illustrating Bible verses seems like a great way to really absorb them.
ReplyDeleteWonderful background and process of finding the figure within it!
