Here we go again!
Rain or shine,
we show our desks to the world!
Shameless, I know!
You may see all the tissue and rags on my desk.
I use them for my brushes,
to wipe away too much water and paint.
On the left, you can see the picture
I traced my work from.
If you don't already know,
I got tired of my drawings,
they were getting too much alike,
so I decided to try tracing.
"They that hope in the Lord,
shall renew their strength."
Isaiah 40:31
When we wait on the Lord,
hoping in Him and His Word,
He will renew our strength,
pour down His blessings,
restore us,
and bring us to a place
where we are under His protection.
It does not mean we will never undergo
challenges or trials.
But we can be sure that if we DO,
the Lord will never abandon or forsake us.
"Will He not leave the ninety-nine
in the hills
and go in search of the stray?"
Matthew 18:12
Even if we are the one to leave
the Good Shepherd
He will always try to lure us back!
Proverbs 4 says:
"Keep your heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life."
I thought it was time for a
Christmas Giveaway!
Here's an ATC I made in 2009
and the design was made into a necklace.
Would you like to win the ATC and the necklace?
Perhaps you'd like to see,
I've been featured in Artists in Blogland!
Every week I choose one wonderful
visitor who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know how much time and effort
it takes to leave a comment!
and I appreciate that soooo much!
This week Random Generator

to make beautiful stories.

I agree with Jan - your work is lovely no matter how it is accomplished and I always look forward to my visit. That lady is just stunning. As a not-religious person, the fact I enjoy it so much says a lot. Somehow it just lightens my mood every week.
ReplyDeleteSo have a great day - and remember, what you call samey others might call "your unique style" :)

ReplyDeleteI always love your artwork and the sentiments that go with it. You can see another page from my much more simplistic faith journal on my entry this week. Thanks for sharing. Caro #46

As always your post is so inspiring! Wanted to tell you that my friend Cindy is doing very well and seems to have beaten the cancer. Little Tiani is in America receiving treatment for the next two months. Thank you so much for all the prayers. Both of them are proof that we serve a loving and faithful Father.

Lovely post.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking art work! Love results of the picture you copied for your page. I am going to try and visit a lot of blogs this week and make up for missing last week. I had a great time on my cruise but now I am so feeling the crunch of the holiday season. I plan on getting the tree and decorations up by Friday and leaving them till...?? I hope you have your holiday plans more in control then I do! Have a great week! Vickie #3

Ah Patsy, I love that you've exposed in print - about time your artworks were shown to the wider worlds. Love the tracing becasue, despite everything, it's still all your work, you have a style and I for one, never grow tired of it.
ReplyDeleteShe looks much prettier in your drawing with no teeth showing. Thanks for sharing with SMWYG!
ReplyDeleteTouching artwork and words.
