Well, I remembered it was Wednesday when
I was halfway done with my little painting.
I was drawing Zechariah,
he who did not believe the angel's words.
And who could blame him?!!!
He was old, his wife Elizabeth was old,
and the angel said they were going to have a son!!!
So naturally, Zechariah asked how that could be!
Unlike Zechariah, Joseph believed the angel
when he was told the even more implausible
prophecy that his betrothed would be with child
THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!!
I am more like Zechariah.
I need to say like the centurion,
"Lord, help my unbelief!"
I am not like Joseph
who obeyed right away.
"This humble, faithful carpenter
fully embraced his role as guardian
and teacher, father and guide,
to the eternal Son of God."
Lord, thank you for St. Joseph.
May he inspire me to be faithful,
to fully embrace the role you've given me
in your wonderful plan!
I was almost running out of my wrapping paper
so I decided to use kraft paper
and make snowflakes out of white paper
with writing at the back.
Recycled gift wrap!!!
Proverbs 4 says:
"Keep your heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life."
I thought it was time for a
Christmas Giveway.
Here's an ATC I made
and the design was made into a necklace.
Would you like to win the ATC and the necklace?

I do love both images and the thoughts behind Joseph and Zacharia, perfect for this time of year. My journal page this time is about Advent. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a very Happy Christmas. Caro (#65)
ReplyDeleteHi Patsy! When you mentioned the words, "wonderful plans" my world stopped for a while. It reminded me of His presence. While I have my own burdens and problems that challenges me, being reminded of that words made me realize that I know everything will be better in His time and according to His plan.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your entire family a Merry Christmas.
I would like to be Joseph, but I am more A Zachariah! Thank you for sharing all the lovely thoughts through the year! Have a lovely Christmas and may you be sprinkled with many blessings!
