WOYWW: Caught by Surprise!

This is my desk this morning.
I stood on my chair to get a shot of it
and now I see that even if I've taken more of an effort
(after someone mentioned my dirty water),
it is STILL dirty!
No wonder some of my paints get molds!!! Ugh!
I have been painting like mad because
I am hoping to join an Art Fair.
It's a long shot as there are famous painters
applying to join too!
Nevertheless, nothing ventured,
nothing gained, as they say!
This unfinished painting is entitled,
"God's Blessings are ALL around us!"
and indeed they are!
I was reading today about how Jesus was
sort of scorned by his town mates.
"Is he not the carpenter?" they asked
and took offense at Him for
daring to teach at the synagogue.
(Mark 6:1-6)
After I read this, I prayed that I would
not presume to know everything about Jesus-
that I would be open to His surprises!

"There's a paradox here.
Jesus is all we need,
but we will always need more of Him.
We need to know more of His ways
and more of His thoughts.
We need to experience even more
of His love as our relationship grows.
So you may as well get used to it.
He is going to keep AMAZING you
throughout your whole life.

"And really what could be better
than to be caught by surprise
by the One who loves you beyond all telling?"
from the Word Among Us

Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!

This week,
Random.org chose,
#29, Sandy Leigh,
who is a Downton Abbey fan,
like me!!!!

Joining the lovely Julia Dunnit for a
peek at desks and projects!
I love blog parties!
Won't you join us?

Sometimes I put on my best pajamas
and party here:

Blessings!
Patsy

  5. Awesome paintings this week. Good luck with the art fair and I bet you will sell a lot! Dirty water is always a problem when it gets mistaken for coffee or tea...I do that occasionally but outside of it being nasty I haven't died from it! Have a great week. Vickie #33
