Oh the woes of a WOYWWer!
:^) This time it is my camera.
So I used my IPOD to take my pictures!
On the right side you will see the
altered book I am working on.
Thank you to Elizabeth of ALTERED BOOK LOVER
for her patience!
If you'd like to try making an altered book,
Elizabeth has a tutorial.
Clamping on the pages.
It's not really dirty.
I just thought I'd play with the frames
available on the camera of my Ipod.
Piling up the books!
I put wall putty and am now drying it.
And here on my daily journaling:
a quote from Mike Cherney.

to focus on what is really
IMPORTANT.
We need to use this season to
IDENTIFY
what impedes our progress
in the directions
that truly matter."

I saw your post on the altered book post and thought I would stop by a few minutes early. Since I have never used wall putty, I have no idea how it will act or react. I suspect it will provide you with a lot of texture, though. You did an EXCELLENT job of creating that niche. It is awesome. Thanks for linking and thanks so much for playing, too. No number yet, just waiting for Julia's post.
ReplyDeleteThe niche in your book looks good. I have used wall putty many times, but always for walls. I think it would provide you with some sturdiness and possibly some texture. The one I use dries hard, but can still be sanded down. Happy WOYWW! Dani32

ReplyDeleteOOh, AB heaven this week..I'm not behind with mine (!) but haven't done a niche, so I guess technically, I'm only up to speed because of cheating! Your desk looks wonderful. I forget to look for the new style journal, are you loving the big red cover?
ReplyDeleteI love your altered book, I've always wanted to have a go at one of those.

Lovely to see so many fellow 'students' getting on with their ABs, and to see the many different clamps we are all using. Not tried wall putty before so interested to see how it turns out.

Your AB is looking good, the frame makes it look very vintage. There seems to be a lot of us WOYWWers making books. Dont know what wall putty is!

ReplyDeleteYour dancing couple made me chuckle.
I'm not sure about altering books ~ I've got so much to learn as I've been living in a cave for the last 12 years and my mojo went AWOL.
He's now back thankfully but I want to take it slowly so that I don't frighten him away :D
