PPF: Always a Miracle!

"Of its own accord,
the land yields fruit."
Mark 4:28
We do a lot of watering
and pruning,
but our bougainvillea plant that hides our
garden wall,
doesn't flower!!!!!
It can be frustrating especially
when I see all the beautiful flowering
plants all over our subdivision!
It is not under our control.

The same way with a farmer.
He may work hard but
it doesn't mean he will get a good crop!
There are forces beyond his control
that help produce the harvest
and it's a miracle when the plants
come out healthy and strong!
It's always a miracle!

"To the one who has
more will be given;
from the one who has not,
even what he has will be
taken away."
Mark 4:25

Usually we relate this verse
to the talents we are given.
We should use our talents
so it will grow.
But in my reflection guide yesterday,
it linked Jesus' promise of abundance
to how we take His words seriously.
It exhorts us to continually
grow in our understanding of Jesus
or we may lose what we have.

Like a farmer, plowing a field,
we expect good favor.
And I believe for those who hope in the Lord,
we will not be disappointed!
God always gives miracles
to those who wait!

Every week I choose one wonderful visitor
who leaves a comment
to receive an ATC from me.
I know it takes so much time and effort
to leave a comment
and I appreciate it soooo much!

What are the odds that this week,
for the second time in a row,
random.org chose,

  1. This was helpful, Patsy. Here I am waiting for my "plants to flower", when in actuality, it needs to be enough simply that the plant is growing. You always give me much to think about, and I am SO very grateful for you.
Thanks for sharing again, Patsy because, once again, you have fed my hungry soul.
    Blessings,

  2. I just started a blog and I get so frustrated that I don't know how to make it grow faster. I don't get buttons and links and all that bloggy stuff. I relate that to your post. Prayer and patience is the only way I am going to figure all this out. Thank you! God will bless it if I just give it to his care daily!

  3. the bougainvillea on our neighbour's fence never flowered... and then two years ago it was suddenly covered and every year it is glorious now... it just decided it was time to show itself I think and I often think of how many times he could have pulled it out but he was patient and now it is so wonderful for all of us to enjoy... which means that your post today is perfectly relatable for me... thank you
