Seek God

 "Seek God."
I know our hearts are restless, always seeking,
until we find God.
We were made by our Creator to seek Him,
and sometimes we look in the wrong places!

"I am the Bread of Life,
whoever comes to me will never hunger,
and whoever believes in me
will never thirst." John 6:35

Seek God so we will never hunger
for things that do not satiate our hunger
or slake our thirst.

In Mark 9:2-10, Jesus brings Peter, James and John
to a high mountain.
There He was transfigured before them.
Then a cloud came, and from the cloud came a voice,
"This is My Beloved Son. Listen to Him."

Do we believe this happened?
Or is it shrouded in myth clouds for you?
Peter in 2 Peter, chapter 1, wrote:
'For he received honor and glory from God the Father
when that unique declaration came to Him
from the majestic glory,
"This is My Son, my beloved,
with whom I am well pleased."
We ourselves heard
this voice come from heaven
while we were with Him
on the holy mountain.
Moreover we possess the prophetic message
that is altogether reliable.
You will do well to be attentive to it,
as to a lamp shining in a dark place,
until the day dawns and the morning star rises
in your hearts.'

Yesterday at our community assembly,
one of the messages was that we should
examine where our treasure is.
What do we give importance to in our life?

Do we listen to God,
and allow Him a say in our life?
Or do we follow the will o' wisp that
that is worldly wisdom?

Every week I choose one from my
wonderful visitors who take the time
and trouble to leave a comment,
to receive an ATC or a postcard from me.

Last week  it was JoDee Luna from
and she hasn't gotten back to me yet!
I love her sketchy journals!

I love blog parties!
Won't you join us?

  2. He is the bread of life. I am guilty of eating other bread, stale bread, to find fulfillment. I am so thankful that He keeps coming to give me bread to eat.

  4. Patsy, "Bread" was one of my three words for 2011 and just last week God spoke Matthew 6:33 to me, "Seek..." Today? I studied the word "assembly" as part of my abiding time. Looks like we're on the same path. :)
