WOYWW: My Treasure Map!

Here's my desk for this Wednesday!
I just came from a trip to Singapore
and you can see my paints in a Tostitos bottle
where I packed them.
My husband shook his head at me,
"Why are you using a glass bottle!???"

 We are off tomorrow to stay in Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar,
where we are going to see old Filipino houses.
I am going to pack these paints 
in my glass bottle again tonight.
"May my tongue sing of Your promise...." Psalm 119:172
In another version, it reads,
"My tongue shall sing of thy Word..."

What is there to sing about?
Why lots!!!
"God puts Himself within our reach with His promises!"
(Streams in the Desert, March 24)
"Tarry at the promise till God meets you there.
He always returns by way of His promises."
(Streams in the Desert, May 7)
"When faith goes to market,
it always takes a basket!"
(Streams in the Desert, December 29)

I always try to stand on God's promises.
That's why I draw it, to embed
His word in my heart!

"Study the generations long past
and understand,
has anyone HOPED in the LORD
and been disappointed?
Sirach 2:1-11

 Not reading God's Word is like 
not digging for treasure when you have
a treasure map telling you exactly where it is!
I am claiming my inheritance,
just like all those people of generations long past
who were not disappointed!

Do You Love Me?

I have been painting on a hotel bathroom shelf 
as my husband is still asleep and 
I don't want to wake him by putting on the lights. 
We are in Singapore- Nineteen of my family!
Can you imagine what a riot that is! And a lot of fun!
"That the love with which YOU LOVED ME 
may be in them and I in them. John 17:26

What an amazing love that is! 
The same love that God the Father loved His Son Jesus, 
that is the same love that the Father gives to us!

Jesus asked Peter three times if he loved him. 
He asks us the same thing. 
Do we love Jesus more than the pleasures of this world? 
Are we able to love others the way He wants us to? 
Do we love Him enough to come back to Him after we fall away?

WOYWW: Our Inheritance!


Today I have lots of pictures for you!
First, here's my desk as I left it.
I was on the computer last night
and I don't know about you,
but I open a LOT of windows when I am online.
My son complains that it slows the connection down. 

So I started listing down the URLs 
so I could close some of them down-
and that's what on this notebook.
When I read the comments from my blog on my email, 
I always intend to visit and I click on the link,
and that's usually why I have 
so many windows open on my browser!

Last Monday was Election Day
here in the Philippines
and my friends, sisters and I made good use of the 
holiday to have a paint party! 


And here are some of us proudly showing off our work!

This is something I started during our paint party.
I decided to use it for today's word:
"And now I commend you to God
and to that gracious Word of His
that can build you up and give you
the inheritance among all who are consecrated."
Acts 20:32

I like to think of the inheritance that awaits us
as children of the King of Kings!
We don't belong here. This is not our home.
We have a home that is beyond our imaginings,
beyond anything we can conceive.

Can you imagine living in a wonderful place
where LOVE surrounds you?
Where there is JOY that just bursts out of everybody?
That PEACE beyond understanding 
protects our minds and hearts
and is a sign at the gates?


THAT is our inheritance!
