"Ask and you shall receive."
Luke 11:9

Have you ever wondered why
sometimes God's answers take so long in coming?
I have.
We have been praying and praying,
fasting, confessing, casting out, etc.
so that my mom would be healed,
but we do not see the manifestations
of healing yet.

But today I remembered one of my favorite stories.
About the boy who witnessed the difficulty of a
butterfly coming out of its cocoon.
He pitied the butterfly struggling to get free
that he decided to help the butterfly out
by cutting the cocoon.

But when the butterfly emerged, its body was swollen
and its wings weak and crumpled.
The trial of the pushing and pulling out of its
cocoon would have forced its body liquids out
into his wings to strengthen it.
Our trials and challenges have a purpose
and God has a wonderful plan for each of us.
Let us ask, trusting that we will receive
in His perfect time!
