PPF: Where is your Heart?

"Your Father knows what you need
before you ask Him." Matthew 6:8
Isn't this wonderful?
Sometimes WE don't even know what we need!
We are sometimes so ambivalent about
what is best for us!

"For where your treasure is
there also will your heart be."
Matthew 6:21
We have to be careful about what we value
and prioritize.
What do we spend the most time on?
What do we think about the most?
This is where our treasure is!

Where is your heart right now?
Sometimes we make
idols of the silliest things!

Beautiful artwork and a wonderful reminder: Sometimes I have no idea what God is doing because it's not what I want Him to do. But He knows what I need better than I do!

  22. Your last statement: Sometimes we make idols of the silliest things!

Absolutely true in past history and our present lives. Need to turn our hearts to the Lord over and over again for His revelation. Thanks.

  26. I love that word "before." God knows...and yet He waits for us to ask. I love it when my daughters as me for "a favor." It bring s me joy to know they feel comfortable enough to ask. I believe my Heavenly Father gets joy out of us asking, too--even though He knows!

Your painting and words encourage me to be more aggressive in asking.

  29. I like the Bible verse about where are your thoughts/heart. A good thing to remember not to waste our heartbeat on trivial things.

  31. I think this is a question we all need to be asking ourselves very often. What are you spending most of your time doing and thinking about? That will tell you where your heart is. It's so easy to focus on the trivial and neglect the important things.
